A large set of 12 displaying porcelain plates with surrealism designs by Piero Fornasetti for Rosenthal, an iconic series from 'Temi e variazioni' (“Themes and Variations”). Each with the original box included, circa 1980. These plates were made for displaying on the wall not for daily use and there are loop holes on the back for easy hanging. They are vintage pieces with gilt on the edge of the plates and different from the current productions. This collection was inspired by the renowned soprano vocalist, Lina Cavalieri, who was invented and depicted the lady 'Julia.' in various composition.
